More about my levels

Here is all about my levels, more screenshots, nearer explainations....
I sortet the levels by date.

So at first come the levels of the Bronko-Levelpack!

               Levelpack "Bronko"

What's in there...?

I created my first level directly after the release of the level editor.
As a fan of Turrican, AND editors I was really happy.
It was self-evident for my to use level1 tiles at first. I learnt, this was the worst choice, a beginner could make. It's quite heavy to place those earthtiles together in a correct way. I realized, that even in the original Turrican games there are some failures with that tiles!
Level1 is quite easy to play and turricanlike.

After learning the basic functions of the editor I wanted more. I wanted new things, never seen before in any Turrican game...
So I made a level with a giant waterfall as background, which goes down all the time (and I mean not only the waterfall, i mean the level, too!)
I also mixed the tilesets together, with MsPaint - you can see it... ;)
There will come the day, in which I will replace those ugly things, right after playing Duke Nukem Forever...
This is the first level with my today's standard concept: Different level parts with other things to see.

Cool, a powerup filled cave.... whaaah! A nest of wasps!

Laser, surround, and diamonds, yay!

Survived the waterfall? Well done. Then welcome to the factory, my first bigger level.
This time, I even planed the way through the level, before making it... ;)
Sadly the level contains my first attempts to make pixelgrafics... The pipes are ok, but those giant blocks are crap.
But I like the grid, it's as good, as it's simple. ;)

Here I held myself back with bad pixeling, only a set of ugly bricks are in there, but not often...
The idea behind this level was to make zones with different background. Outside sky, inside multible brick layers, and that also under water...
Because of the paralax scrolling I had to make changeover areas without the moving background...

Deep water with deep background...

Small feature, enter the level by lift.

This is the levelpack i'm actually working on...
Level2 was the first one, I created.
At first, I planed it to be the 5th level of the bronkopack.
Again I tried to create some grafics, with more success thanks to the tutorials from http://www.robsite.de. Still it could be much better, of course. ;)
This level should become, and is, a dungeon like Turrican2's Lv. 2-2.

This level hast many areas of different themes, and is the most difficult one, I ever made so far...
I guess, it is a bit unfair, but I consider it as playable enough! :P
Have a look at the little extrafeatures. ;)

If you fall into the spikes, there is still an emergency exit...

Don't fall down!

Because the first level I made for "Underearth" was so damned hard, I declared it as level2, and made this one to level1.
Selfmade blocks, and recoloured tiles make this level's tileset. I imported the lava from Doom2, only to find out, that Pekaro build crap into the editor with the option to declare tiles as painfull and animated ones together... So I animated every second tile only, to give a illusion of animated and painful lava...
As I imported the lava out of Doom2, I also took the music from there...

The atmosphere was built arround the music.
In that level I didn't plan the direction through it, which made it a bit stupid. But while playing, you don't realize it, that you just go from the one side to the other, a bit down, and just again to the other side...
I'm happy, that this level really isn't too hard.

Nice exit of the gyroscope tunnel...
